2025 Turkey Giveaway
R.J. Valente Companies hosts its 12th Annual Turkey Giveaway on November 21 in Troy, donating 1,800 turkeys and surpassing 12,000 total donations to Capital District families.
R.J. Valente Companies will host its 12th Annual Turkey Giveaway on Friday, November 21 at 11:00 a.m. at 1 Madison Street in Troy, NY. Local nonprofit organizations will gather on site to pick up frozen turkeys directly from one of the company’s tractor-trailers.
This year’s event will distribute 1,800 turkeys to families in need across the Capital District. The tradition began when Roddy Valente started giving out turkeys in honor of his young grandson’s recovery from eye cancer, turning a personal family moment into an annual community initiative.
Participating organizations include: Capital District Latinos, Sidewalk Warriors, Troy High Backpack Program, Capital City Rescue Mission, Summertime Love Foundation, Joshua Foundation, Schenectady City Mission, KIPP Charter School, Vanderheyden Hall, and Joseph’s House & Shelter.
Volunteers from the Saratoga Central Catholic Boys Varsity Basketball Team will once again assist with loading and distributing turkeys to partner organizations.
Over the past twelve years, R.J. Valente Companies has donated more than 12,000 turkeys through this event, reflecting the company’s continued commitment to supporting the community it proudly serves.
